Artwork for physician education CME course on Ductal Lavage implemented
at the American Society of Breast Surgeons Conference, held in Boston, MA on April 24, 2002.
Ductal lavage is a minimally invasive office procedure performed
on women who are considered to be at high risk for breast cancer.
The procedure washes and collects epithelial cells from breast ducts.
The cells are then cytologically analyzed for early cellular changes.
Thus, ductal lavage provides a real-time, patient-specific,
and cell-based assessment of a woman's breast cancer risk.
