Fairman Studios was founded in 2000 as a Board Certified medical and biological visual communications studio. The studio has evolved over the years from specializing in medical, scientific and biological illustration, to being a studio that offers a wide variety of styles in general and editorial illustrations services as well as interactive design, animation, web publication and graphic design for education and publication. With an archive built over the last 2 decades, it now offers licencing services from it’s catalog of illustrations.

BCMI
The Board of Certification of Medical Illustrators administers a certification program for illustrators who seek a recognizable means of credentialing. The designation of Certified Medical Illustrator (CMI) denotes this voluntarily earned credential and provides a recognizable means of signifying a practitioners current competency in the profession of medical illustration.
